Adam McPadden is a Senior Technical Staff Member focusing on persistent memory implementation within IBM Systems Group. He has driven enablement of new memory technologies in IBM POWER Systems since 2014, including STT-MRAM, NVDIMM-N and the recent Hybrid Memory Subsystem (HMS) enabling 3TB of load-store persistent memory on POWER9 systems. He previously worked on both DRAM main memory and solid state storage development across IBM system brands, laying the foundation for combining the two technologies into persistent memory. Adam has a BS in Physics and an MS in EE. He is based out of Burlington Vermont.
