Boqian Shen is a third-year graduate student in the Computational and Applied Mathematics department at Rice University. His advisor is Béatrice M. Rivière. His research interests are in coupled flow and geomechanics. He is currently developing an accurate and stable numerical method for solving the immiscible two-phase fluid flows in deformable porous media problems in three-dimensions. In this poster, he will present the work he did in the parallel computing summer program at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
