Takateru Yamagishi is a chief engineer in the HPC consultant group of Research Organization for Information Science and Technology, where he is in charge of parallelizing and optimizing scientific applications on the Japanese HPCI (High Performance Computing Infrastructure) system. One of his main targets is implementation and optimization of numerical weather/climate/ocean model on GPU. He earned his Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Science from Tokyo University in 2008.
