Igor Sfiligoi has been active in distributed computing since his Master thesis days in 1997. He graduated from University of Udine, Italy, and has also completed a Master of Science program with the EC-Council University.

He has worked with several communities over his career, and has used many kinds of distributed systems, spanning real-time systems, dedicated compute clusters, world-wide Grid computing and leadership HPC facilities.

He currently works at the University of California San Diego as part of the Pacific Research Platform and the Open Science Grid teams. He has been active on containerization efforts, mostly as part of the Nautilus Kubernetes cluster.
