Biography
Julie Ma is the Program Manager for the Northeast Cyberteam Initiative at MGHPCC. In this role, among other things, she spearheaded the effort to launch Ask.CI, a Q&A site for the research computing community. Julie is an elected member of the Campus Champions Leadership Team.

Julie has 30+ years’ leadership experience spanning diverse businesses in the corporate and non-profit sectors. She began her career as a hardware engineer and designed the processor node for the BBN TC2000, one of the earliest production-quality large-scale parallel processing computers. Technology trends and happenstance took her through a journey that included a 15-year stop in the arts, but she recently returned to the supercomputing world to join the NSF-sponsored Northeast Cyberteam Initiative, which aims to make research computing more accessible to small- and medium-sized institutions in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. She holds an MSEE and BSEE from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
