Jeff A. Tracey is an ecologist specializing in the application of biostatistics, scientific computing, ecological modeling to animal movement behavior and landscape ecology. He received a M.S. in Biology from UC San Diego, a M.S. in Biometry from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and a Ph.D. in Ecology from Colorado State University. He has published numerous papers and reports on the analysis and visualization of animal movement data related to rattlesnakes, bobcats, California condors, and golden eagles. He is currently a biological statistician with the U.S. Geological Survey.
